The Clinical Efficacy Observation Of Shufengxuanfeitongqiao Decoction For The Treatment Of Wind-heat Type Acute Secretory Otitis Media

Objective:Through the observation of Shufengxuanfeitongqiao decoction in treating wind-heat type acute secretory otitis media(ASOM),we thus study this decoction’s clinical value and provide a clinical thinking for the combination of Chinese traditional medicine and western medicine in treatment of wind-heat type ASOM.Methods:Patients who meet the standards were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,each had 30 patients.The control group take Anningpai ecteric coated soft capsules and nasal inhalation,while the treatment group also took them and more,Shufengxuanfeitongqiao decoction.After one week and two week’s treatment,we both record the curative effect of treatment group and control group under the evaluation standard.Afterwards,we use statistics to analyze the difference of curative effect between this two groups.Results:After one week’s treatment,on the evaluation of the total curative effects,we achieve 18 sick ears cured,4 sick ears obviously improved,6 sick ears improved and 2 sick ears in vain for the treatment group,the total effective rate is 93.33% and curative effect is 60%;we achieve 10 sick ears cured,6 sick ears obviously improved,9 sick ears improved and 5 sick ears in vain for the treatment group,the total effective rate is 83.33% and curative effect is 33.33%.After two weeks’treatment,on the evaluation of the total curative effects,we achieve 19 sick ears cured,4 sick ears obviously improved,5 sick ears improved and 2 sick ears in vain for the treatment group,the total effective rate is 93.33% and curative effect is 63.33%;we achieve 10 sick ears cured,8 sick ears obviously improved,7 sick ears improved and 5 sick ears in vain for the treatment group,the total effective rate is 83.33% and curative effect is 33.33%.Conclusion:1.Both the treatment group and control group has a certain effect for improvement of symptoms,hearing level and tympanogram in treating wind-heat type ASOM.2.After the treatment,the treatment group achieves higher total effective rate and curative effect than the control group.No matter one week treatment or two weeks treatment,the treatment group is always superior than the control group on the improvement of symptoms,hearing level and tympanogram.3.According to the Deafness to Treat Lung Theory,Shufengxuanfeitongqiao decoction is characterized with clearing away heat,combined with hearing level improvement.It achieves satisfied effect in the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine in treating wind-heat type ASOM.4.Shufengxuanfeitongqiao decoction can shorten the course of treatment and decrease the expense and suffering in the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine in treating this disease.There isn’t any side effects in the treatment.So the decoction is worthy to spread clinically.5.When taking Shufengxuanfeitongqiao decoction and Anningpai ecteric coated soft capsules,nasal inhalation to treat wind-heat type ASOM,something other treatment means could be supplemented to enhance curative rate.6.The total effective rate and curative rate of this two groups make statistically no difference between one week treatment and two weeks treatment.It suggests the first week after morbidity is crucial for treatment in the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine in treating wind-heat type ASOM.
