With the change of people’s lifestyle and living environment, Cancer deaths rise, China ’s cancer situation is not optimistic. Cancer patients continues to increase, not only to the socio-economic development of any adverse impact on the economic burden of physical and psychological suffering, but also to their respective family members. The general development of cancer, has not only medical problems, more urgent social problems. Li Ka Shing Foundation donated the establishment of hospices to provide home services free of charge for indigent patients with advanced cancer pain, At present, due to the limited service area, transport facilities and other conditions, to accept a limited number of hospice and palliative care patients, In particular, is living in the countryside, away from the city’s patients. However, hospice services provided social support or lit with cancer patients and their families living hope, let a patient in pain to walk the journey of life, make the safeguard the dignity of life, let the family soul.This paper attempts to focus on rural hospice and palliative care patients from the professional perspective of social work, Applying social support theory, social demand theory to analyze rural cancer patients social support needs, Research and interviews, in-depth analysis of the rural areas to accept the Hospice and palliative care services, poor social support needs of patients with advanced cancer pain. Studies have found that in the course of treatment at home, Hospice palliative care patients is difficult to apply Maslow’s theory of hierarchy of need judgment, their demand for community support only the physiological needs, safety needs, love and belonging needs and the need to respect, neither is also difficult to achieve self-actualization needs hierarchy. Hospice nursing therapy patients in rural, cancer patients are often considered to be " Not lucky people", were acquaintances, and even alienation, abandoning his family. Why the lack of fulfilment of needs? Hospice nursing therapy patients is in fact a hospice services, patients himself but also aware of their condition, coupled with factors such as family poverty, family support, most of the patients have "live one day count" mentality of this muck. I demand for Hospice nursing therapy in patients with social support through analyses, trying to build for Hospice nursing therapy in patients with social support networks, to meet patients’physical, psychological and social level of demand.
