The Effects Of Therapeutic Communication On The Depression Of Patients With Cerebral Infarction

AimsThis study aims to evaluate the effect of therapeutic communication can relieve the depression of patients with cerebral infarction.MethodThis research for laboratory study, fifty-eight patients with depression after stroke from Ningbo LiHuili hospital were assigned into intervention group (n=30) and control group (n=28) according to the hospital ward.The patients in the control group received routine nursing. The experimental group was given continuous intervening with therapeutic communication system, assessing the depression of patients and its influencing factors and giving specific solutions. All the patients were investigated with Hamilton Depression Scale and Perceived Social Support Scale before and after the intervention.ResultsSignificant differences were found on the scores of Hamilton Depression Scale and Perceived Social Support Scale between the two groups after15days.(P<0.05).But there was no differences between the two groups before intervention (P>0.05).Significant differences were found on the score of Hamilton Depression Scale and Perceived Social Support Scale in the intervention group before and after intervention (P<0.05), but there was no differences on the score of Hamilton Depression Scale and Perceived Social Support Scale in the control group before and after intervention.(P>0.05).ConclusionTherapeutic communication system model can effectively relieve the depression of patients with cerebral infarction, increase the patients social support, it has good effectiveness and feasibility in clinical nursing.
