ObjectivesObjective the relationship between the differentiation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and BNP, Hey in CHF patients.MethodsThe CHF patients were selected and classified into4different tyes of TCM of CHF. Include the following:Edema due to Yang Deficiency Syndrome (EYDS), qi-deficiency and blood-stasis syndrome (QBSS), qi deficiency of both heart and Lung syndrome (QDHLS), deficiency of both qi and yin syndrome (DQYS). And15cases of healthy people were selected as the normal control group (NCG). The5different teams were compared with each other by BNP, Hey, for observing the change of index to study the relationship.Result(1)omparison of the five groups’BNP:the serum level of BNP of5groups was as following:EYDS>QBSS>QDHLS and DQYS>NCG. The level of BNP in the4types was significantly higher than that in NCG (P<0.01); The level of BNP in EYDS was significantly higher than that in the other three types (P<0.01).(2)omparison of the five groups’Hey:the serum level of Hey of5groups was as following:EYDS and QBSS>QDHLS and DQYS>NCG. The level of Hey in the4types was significantly higher than that in NCG (P<0.01); The level of Hey in QBSS and EYDS was higher than that in QDHLS and DQYS (P<0.05), but the difference of Hey between QBSS and EYDS was not significant (P>0.05).(3)In CHF patients, the BNP had no correlation with Hey (r=0.162, P=0.192>0.05). There were no correlation between BNP and Hey in EYDS (r=-0.182, P=0.469>0.05). Conclusion①The relationship between the differentiation of TCM and BNP, Hey i s cl ear. And we can see that the level of BNP in EYDS is significantly higher than that in the other three types. So it can be used as an index for assistance in TCM dialectical classification of CHF. Hey can’t be used as a single index to distinguish between QBSS and EYDS.②There is a close relationship between BNP and heart function. And different from Hey, we can see that the higher BNP the patients have, the poorer heart function they get. Also different from BNP, we find that the level of Hey is ralated with primary disease. In CHF patients, the BNP have no correlation with Hey.③Combining the level of BNP and Hey can diagnose EYDS of CHF more objectively and more accurately.
