Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics and differentiation of TCM syndromes of mild and moderate pediatric virus myocarditis, and to explore effevtive TCM regulations of diagnosis and therapy. Methods: (1)Grade the commonly encountered symptoms and physical signs of mild and moderate pediatric virus myocarditis. (2)Fill out "pediatric virus myocarditis TCM syndromes questionnaire" in detailed, and classify the cases according to different TCM syndromes. (3)Analyze the relationship between age, course and TCM syndromes with statistical method, and study the distributing state of TCM symptoms and physical signs. (4)Elect TCM symptoms and physical signs having more groups with statistical significance in multiple comparison, namely TCM symptoms and physical signs having better discrimination, and make out discriminant function of TCM syndromes. (5)On the basis of TCM syndromes investigation, establish effevtive TCM regulations of pediatric virus myocarditis.Results:1. The chief symptoms of mild and moderate pediatric virus myocarditis are hypodynamia (53.8%), chest distress (48.4%), palpitation (29.0%), dizziness (24.2%), cacochroia (24.2%), pectoralgia (22.0%), Jie Dai Mai (13.4%), sweat (10.2%), cardiac dilatation (5.9%), cold limbs (1.1%); the secondary symptoms are red throat (75.8%), abnormal tongue (72.6%), fever (25.8%), abnormal stool (23.1%), cough (22.6%), nausea (9.7%), myalgia (8.1%).2. The commonly encountered TCM syndromes of mild and moderate pediatric virus myocarditis are Feng Re Fan Xin (60.2%), Qi Yin Liang Xu (18.8%), Shi Re Qin Xin (9.1%), Xin Mai Yu Zu (6.5%), Xin Yang Bu Zu (5.4%).3. The differentiation of TCM syndromes distribution between different stage of age has no statistical significance (P>0.05).4. Xie Du Qin Xin is the most commonly encountered TCM syndrome during68acute stage, the differentiation of TCM syndromes distribution between acute stage and chronic stage has high statistical significance(P<0.01).5. The disease incidence of Xie Du Qin Xin (including Feng Re Fan Xin and Shi Re Qin Xin) declined with increase of course, the disease incidence of Qi Yin (Yang)Kui Xu (including Qi Yin Liang Xu and Xin Yang Bu Zu)and Xin Mai Yu Zu ascended with increase of course. The tendency of TCM syndromes incidence has high statistical significance (P<0.01).6. The TCM symptoms and physical signs having more groups with statistical significance in multiple comparisons are: hypodynamia (6 groups), cacochroia (Sgroups), chest distress (8 groups), pectoralgia (4 groups), fever (4 groups), red throat (7 groups), nausea (4 groups), tongue coat (8 groups), pulse and fingerprint (9 groups).7.
