The Traditional Chinese Medicine Literature Study Of Ulcerative Colitis

ObjectiveBy collecting the literatures of Ulcerative Colitis TCM treatment, this text is aimed to exploring the syndrome differentiation, therapies and medication rules. To expore and combine the basic prescriprion of eaeh TMC syndrome of Ulcerative Colitis treatment, we analyzed and arranged the high-frequency drugs of Ulcerative Colitis TCM treatment, as well as analyzed the TCM treatment mechanism and modern pharmacology.MethodChoice the reference about TCM clinical study on Ulcerative Colitis TCM treatment from the Biomedical Journals published from January1992to December2011. To summarize the syndrome differentiation, therapies and medication from the Standard conformance references, we analyzed the statistics with the software SPSS13.0. In this way, we combine the basic prescription of the main syndromes of Ulcerative Colitis from the analysis and arrangement of the high-frequency drug.ResultThe common TCM syndromes includes27.22%syndrome of humid-heat retention,19.28%syndrome of yang deficiency of spleen and kidney,12.73%liver-spleen disharmony,9.38%asthenia of the spleen and stomach,7.81%spleen-deficiency and dampness-heat,6.89%damp abundance due to splenic asthenia and16.69%other syndromes. The relative common the rapies are heat-clearing damp-drying therapy, invigorate the spleen and warm the kidney, harmonizing liver-spleen method, method of repleni shing spleen qi, strengtheni ng spleen and el iminating dampness and heat, invigorate the spleen and eliminating the dampness treatment, and other method of treaments. Among the used medicine, there is 32.55%Tonic medicine which is included71.74%qi-invigorating herbs,22.18%hematinic,5.81%yang-invigorating herbs and0.87%yin-nourishing herbs.Besides, there is13.99%heat-clearing drugs, which contains10.80%medicine for regulating qi,7.7%diuretics for eliminating dampness, and6.38%astringent drug as well as5.42%diaphoretic. The heat-clearing drugs contain47.38%antipyretic dryingdampness agnets,39.52%antipyretic-detoxicate drugs,11.09%drugs of eliminating heat and purging fire,1.61%heat-clearing to cool blood drugs and0.40%purgative medicinal. The tonic of diuretics for eliminating dampness contain94.87%inducing diuresis to alleviate edema drugs,4.76%inducing diuresis for treating strangurtia drugs and0.37%drugs of disinhibiting dampness and relieving jaundice. The astringent drug contain91.59%astringing lung and intestinal drug and8.41%gujing shink urine-medicine. The diaphoretic contain54.17%divergent wind cold medicine and45.83%divergent wind hot medicine.ConclusionThe main TCM syndromes of Ulcerative Colitis are syndrome of humid-heat retention, syndrome of yang deficiency of spleen and kidney, liver-spleen disharmony, asthenia of the spleen and stomach, spleen-deficiency and dampness-heat, damp abundance due to splenic asthenia.
