Objective To investigate the changes of cell cycle related factors Cyclin D1/E andp27in HPV-related Bowenoid papulosisMethods We chose Human Papillomaviruses Genotyping Diagnosis Kit to detectHPV DNA subtypes, and used immunohistochemistry to detect the expression of cell cyclerelated factors Cyclin D1/E, p27in the BP tissues as well as in the normal tissue. Results The HPV DNA positive ratio of all44cases of BP was100%. The positiveratio of high-risk HPV DNA was86.36%, and HPV16was the most predominant subtypewith the appositive ratio of68.18%, there are16patients with only HPV16subtype, thereare14patients with HPV16conbined other high/low-risk HPV subtypes, and there are8patients with other high-risk HPV subetypes. There are6pateints with low-risk HPVsubetype were6, and the HPV6was the predominant subtype. We found that there were20patients with high-risk HPV subtypes,6patients with low-risk HPV subtypes and18patients with combined high/low-risk HPV subtypes. The expression of Cyclin D1inpatients with high-risk HPV subtypes (u=53.00,P<0.05), in patients with low-risk HPVsubtypes (u=5.00,P<0.01), and in patients with combined high/low-risk HPV subtypes(u=12.00,P<0.01) was higher than that in normal controls. We also found that the CyclinD1expression in patients with combined high/low-risk HPV subtypes (u=44.00,P<0.01)and in patients with low-risk HPV subtypes (u=22.50,P<0.05) was higher than that inpatients with high-risk HPV subtypes. The expression of Cyclin E in patients withhigh-risk HPV subtypes (u=0.00,P<0.01), in patients with low-risk HPV subtypes(u=1.50,P<0.01), and in patients with combined high/low-risk HPV subtypes(u=4.00,P<0.01) was higher than that in normal controls, respectively. We also found thatthe Cyclin E expression in patients with high-risk HPV subtypes was higher than that in patients with high-risk HPV subtypes (u=11.00,P<0.01). We can not find the relationshipbetween the expression of p27and high/low-risk HPV。The expression of p27in patientsof age>50subgroup was significantly higher than that in patients of20<age≤30subgroup(u=47.00,P<0.05)and in patients of31<age≤50(u=55.50,P<0.05). The expression ofCyclin E in patients of the year above50subtypes was significantly higher than that inpatients of20<age≤30subgroup (u=45.50,P<0.05). We also found that the Cyclin Eexpression in female patients (u=137.50,P<0.05) was significantly higher than that in malepatients.Conlusion Our data suggest that HPV infection is strongly associated with thepathogenesis of Bowenoid papulosis, and might induce proliferation and malignanttransformation of HPV infected epithelia by influencing the expression of Cyclin D1/E andp27and their interactions, and the detailed mechanism merits further investigation.
