It is a chronic inflammatorydisease characterized mainly by various inflammatory cells such as eosinophil, inflammatory mediator and cellular elements. About300million people sufferfrom asthma in the world, and it brings social and economic burden to human. It has become an important Issue to research the control and pathogenesis ofasthma in the field of global health.IL-37, a newly described member of the IL-1family, functions as afundamental inhibitor of innate inflammation and immunity. It has been highlyvalued as a fundamental anti-inflammatory cytokine. It’s showed that the IL-37is related with variety of diseases, especially with hepatitis, shock, intestinalinflammation and morbidly obese, which are autoimmune diseases. Thebronchial asthma is an immune inflammatory disease. So its pathogenesis maybe related to the IL-37.There is no correlative research reports about that athome and abroad now. Objective:The goal of the research is to explore the relation-shipbetween the IL-37and the pathophysiologic mechanisms in asthma. At thesame time, we can explore new ways to treat the asthma patients.Methods:20healthy controls, and the50cases acute episode asthmapatients who meet the conditions as research group, and the research groupwere divided into IgE-positive group and IgE-negative group by the level ofserum IgE. The doxofylline, Montelukast Sodium and Inhaledsalmeterol/fluticasone are used in asthma patients for2weeks. Serum IL-37(ELISA) and the lung function were measured in the asthma patients and thecontrol group. We contrasted the various indicators among the groups using the statistical method.Results:1. Compared with healthy controls, the serum IL-37levelsignificantly reduced in the acute episode of asthma (P<0.05).2. The IL-37level of IgE-positive patients is obviously lower than it in the IgE-negativepatients(P<0.05).3. After treatment, the IL-37level in serum increasedsignificantly, and the difference was significan(tP<0.05).4. The level of serumIL-37in the asthma patients is realated to the PEF%ã€FEV1/FVC%(.P<0.05).Conclusion:IL-37as a fundamental anti-inflammatory cytokine involvedin the pathogenesis of bronchial asthma, at the same time, IL-37are closelyrelated with the IgE-positive patients. IL-37is related to the severity of theasthma. The illness is heavier, and the level of serum IL-37is lower. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Asthma, IL-37, IgE, Lung function | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
