The plaque control rate (PCR) of before and after brushing were recorded,Then every two months,we conducted an oral health education to kindergarten teachers, parents and children, issuing the brochure of the oral health knowledge, after six months later, the plaque control rate(PCR) and plaque index were detected again before the children brushed their teeth and after by plaque staining experiments. Data was imported to SPSS 13.0software,univariate analysis was applied to filter out the relevant factors of the cariogenic logistic regression analysis, then find out important factors which led to cariogenic.RESULTS:A total of176(male96, female80) children among283children (male158, female125) had caries, and the caries prevalence increased with aging, the group of children aged5years had the highest caries prevalence, the total caries prevalence rate was62.19%, dmft was3.45,dmfs was5.62.283cases of3-5years old children’s multivariate logistic regression analysis to the questionnaires showed that consumption of sweets (times/day), bedtime eating, times of daily brushing, parental supervision of brushing were main influence factors of caries.186children’s percentage of the plaque control and plaque index were96.59±4.42%,3.14±0.46o baseline, after six months of interventions plaque control, the percentage of the plaque control and plaque index were36.81±8.81%,2.08±0.34respectively. Paired sample t-test was used to compare the before and after six months’ plaque control percentage and plaque index, the results respectively were:t=83.210, P<0.05and t=27.363, P<0.05, and showed statistic significant.CONCLUSION:The prevalence of dental caries of children from private kindergartens in Nanning was high.
