A Follow-up Survey On The Prevention Of Dental Caries In Children Aged 4-5 Years With Oral Comprehensive Health Care Measures

Object:In childhood,oral health education and health promotion,combined with various rickets and interventions to enable children to obtain the necessary knowledge of oral hygiene,oral health behavior training,so as to better prevent rickets.Establishing oral health promotion sustainable development strategies to explore the effect of oral comprehensive health care measures on reducing the prevalence of early childhood caries(ECC)in urban areas in China.Methods:A total of 398 children aged 4 to 5 years in Qingdao city were recruited to participate a one-year single-blind randomized controlled clinical trial.Children from six different kindergartens were included in the study.They were randomly assigned into either the experimental group(187 children)or the control group(211 children).The experimental group received comprehensive oral health care,including oral health examination,oral health education for children and their guardians,local fluoride application,and dental filling therapy,whereas the children in the control group only received oral health examination twice a year.A comprehensive oral health questionnaire was conducted among parents of children before and after intervention.After 1 year's intervention,the oral health status of two groups of children was statistically analyzed to determine the effect of oral comprehensive health care on early childhood cariesResults:A total of 398 parents completed oral health questionnaires and performed oral examinations on children.One year after intervention,the numbers of decayed teeth(dt),decayed tooth surfaces(ds),filled teeth(ft)and filled tooth surfaces(fs)of the experimental group were significantly different from those in the control group(p<0.001).The dmft and dmfs of the experimental group were also significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05),and the oral health status was significantly improved.One year later,a questionnaire survey was conducted again and found that the oral hygiene habits and eating habits of the experimental group of children and parents were significantly better than the control group(all P<0.001).The oral health care awareness of parents in the experimental group was Significant increased.Conclusion : Studies have shown that the implementation of comprehensive oral healthcare measures and the establishment of oral health promotion models can significantly increase children's and their parents' awareness of oral health care,promote children's development of healthy oral hygiene habits,and have a certain effect on the prevention and treatment of young children.Strengthening the promotion and application of oral health education and raising children's and their parents' awareness of oral health and health awareness are particularly important for the prevention of ECC.
