Research On Residential Space Differentiation Of Ethnic Enclaves In Urumqi City

Tianshan District is the most minority population distribution in Urumqi, there are44ethnic groupsliving in here. Because the cultural differences of religion, social class differentiation, economic conditionsand other factors, Tianshan District appear the nation residential differentiation phenomenon. This paperresearch minority population, different age population, different education degree, different occupationalpopulation indexes residential distribution pattern and its evolution by geography, sociology, economics,demology, multidisciplinary approach, on the basis of related literature at home and abroad research. Byisolation index, information entropy, location entropy from the macro, meso and micro three levels tomeasure social attributes of the living space of the Tianshan District differentiation, and usingquestionnaires to measure Tianshan District living space material properties such as: housing sources,housing property, housing area, age of housing construction. Finally, the paper summarizes the mainfactors of residential space differentiation of Tianshan District, the negative effects caused by differentdifferentiation, and put forward corresponding suggestions. Through this study, the following conclusions:(1) the national residential space differentiation phenomenon is significant and show "pattern of largescattered small concentrated".(2) Kazak residential space differentiation phenomenon is the mostsignificant, followed by the uighurs, the hui and the han nationality mixed phenomenon is relatively good.(3) Different education degree, different age population living differentiation phenomenon was notsignificant.(4)With the accelerated process of urbanization, the primary industry employees living spacedifferentiation phenomenon intensified, while the tertiary industry employment close to living spacedifferentiation phenomenon.(5) Since the resident’s income differences and the filter effect of the price ofthe house, housing resources, home ownership, housing area are low or moderate differentiationphenomenon, the age of housing construction differentiation is the lest.
