Coal for power generation is an important material resource of the economy development. It is requisite to set down scientific and systematic power coal transport corridor planning, to effectively solve the contradictions between supply and need of power coal. It is important to make well the study of power coal transport corridor planning theory in order to guide practical construction. This paper use optimization theory and modern combination optimization theory as foundation thought of systematic engineering as guide during the research process. Using other findings about power coal transport corridor layout optimization as reference, and utilizing a research method of domestic and theoretical analysis, combing qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, this paper studied the layout optimization of power coal transport corridor from inner Mongolia to the area of Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces.Firstly, the paper comprehensively analyses the characteristic of transport corridor from its formation, development and influence factors, and give a brief conclusion of present situation of power coal transport corridor layout of our country.Then, this paper tries to optimize power coal transport corridor from the perspective of builders by building network with some point such as several mean coal production units, stations, mean ports in the north and discharge port in the south.The paper establishes a new estimate index system with generalized cost, considers the boundness of the regular one, grades each route by its objective fact in the network, then calculates the generalized cost by the distance of transportation.The generalized cost is used as accordance of routes in the last part, this part solve the shortest route in the network, then build the coal transport corridor from Inner Mongolia to the areas of Jiangsu and Zhejiang according to these routes.This paper integrates multiple factors, plans the mean coal transport routes reasonably, optimizes coal transport corridor, reduces the cost of coal transport, increases the efficiency, remit pressure of transportation.
