Over time, the increase of accumulationvolume in traffic the cumulative increase in traffic, the use of performance graduallydecay, then the road emerge various diseases.In order to ensure highway fast and performance of safe use, and keep the originaldesign state of highway, and must take reasonable maintenance, carry out regular caremaintenance. At the same time, the continuous development of Internet technology andcontinuous increasing demand of people to GIS, one of the hotspots of the currenttraffic management information system is that WebGIS technology was introduced intothe highway maintenance management. Based on the.net environment, ArcGIS Serverplatform developed maintenance experimental system of Banan District, ChongqingCity, the roads and bridges, pipe culvert, the main research contents and results are asfollows:①Discussed development of the road maintenance geographic information system athome and abroad, by researching and analysing in Banan District maintenance sectionsof Chongqing, I analysis and compare of a variety of seting up the way of WEBGISdevelopment platform.According to a variety of reasons choose ArcGIS Serveras thepublishing platform, choose the Visual Studio2005.NET as development environment,use controls and interface of ArcServer9.3.1to develop Highway Bridge PipeMaintenance Information System.②This paper detailly introduce space database concepts and design method with theGeodatabase as data model, according to the actual situation of the experimentalplatform, choose the personal version Geodatabase for database, and introduces themethod and principle of building the space database.③This paper build maintenance system based on ArcGIS Server, realize a variety ofqueries in the maintenance information includes conditions inquires, buffer analysis andinquires.The spatial location and attribute information dynamically are displayed.Automatically generate special maps, graphics and attribute information in a diagramcorresponds to display, so that the maintenance system are more visualization.
