Study Of The Natural Ventilation Strategy Of Hospital Clinic Waiting In Lingnan Regions

Lingnan belongs to the East Asian monsoon climate zone, its main climate characteristics is high temperature and humidity. The summer is long and the winter is short in most parts of this area. In order to create a good indoor environment, the buildings in here need to try to discharge the redundant heat.Natural ventilation provides a good indoor environment for Lingnan’s buildings, at the same time, it is recognized as an important ways to reduce the building’s energy consumption.The patient spends most of the time in the hospital outpatient department waiting space. So the quality of this waiting space plays an important role for patient’s treatment experience. As a result, the indoor temperature, relative humidity and air quality in this space require a fairly high standard.Therefore, the research in the hospital outpatient department waiting space has a great significance role in resolving the waiting space indoor environmental quality issues and the hospital building energy efficiency.This paper does on-site investigating on some hospital outpatient department waiting spaces in Lingnan area to find and analysis the problems. And then chose typical one space to do on-site thermal environmental testing.Secondly, this paper does the classification study on hospital outpatient department waiting space, and then analysis the natural ventilation in Lingnan traditional buildings and other kinds of building. Combining this design means with the waiting space actual use and space characteristic, and summarizing the design tactics of the waiting space, which can be the reference for the design.This paper divides into three parts:The first part:(Chapter one) Introduction, elaborating the research background, significance, existing research and research purposes of the issue. And then determine the main research methods to lay the foundation for the research.The second part:(Chapter two) Elaborating under the lingnan’s climatefeature, the building design’s main design point and summarize and define somerelative concepts.The third part:(The chapter three&four) In the chapter three, this paperanalysis the natural ventilation design in hospital out-patient waiting space, applythe design ways in success example to the hospital waiting space. Combine withthe overall layout of hospital, outpatient module design, waiting space intonatural ventilation, and analysis the different design methods of waiting space inimproving the indoor natural ventilation.In the chapter four, this paper classifieds the hospital outpatient waitingspace. And then choose four typical waiting spaces to do onsite thermalenvironmental testing. Following, using the measured date to analyze thecharacteristics of natural ventilation.The forth part:(Chapter five) According to the analysis and the research, inthis chapter, summarize the design tactics of the natural ventilation. Then providethe new design methods of natural ventilation in the layout of hospital outpatientwaiting space, outpatient module design, waiting space for the hospital buildingin Lingnan area.
