Study Of General Hospital Outpatient Space Design Based On Hospital-patient Separation Concept

In the 21st century, hospital architecture has become one of the fastest-changing architecture types. The medical treatment pattern and its theory both call for modern transform with new medical concept especially after the great pain brought by the explosion of SARS. During the SARS period, space design of outpatient department as the battlefront becomes self-evidently important and there also showed us some problems of polyclinic hospital space design. So how to treat the patient with complete care has become a serious problem and needs to be solved as soon as possible.As a part of the national physical science fund text RESEARCH OF HOW TO DEALING WITH SUDDEN PROBLEMS OF URBAN PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE DESIG, this article focuses on how to improve the security of polyclinics'outpatient department and how to avoid cross infection between the patients. With the principle of"patient centered and doctors no ignored", we try to achieve the goal of establishing medical environment which is safe, efficient, comfortable, and friendly. We put hospital-patient separation idea forward and theoretically constructs it from the demand and environmental view in order to combine the theory and practice together. In addition, it furthers the study by combing the idea and space design, preliminarily discusses the idea-influenced space design by methods of survey, analysis and induction, and analyzes from the spatial architecture and spatial environmental optimization to give the corresponding solutions.This text first sets forth the hospital-patient separation concept and theoretically constructs it, while bringing up the space design strategy of general hospital from a brand-new perspective. Although the theory study is not mature enough yet, we hope it can contribute to the theory study of hospital architecture design and provide reference for the concept and strategy of outpatient space design of general hospital to play a positive role in the sound development of hospital architecture in China.
