Mountain towns are huge in number and cover broad areas of China’s territory.Therefore, they take a significant strategic position. The exceptional topographies andphysiognomies decide the vulnerable and sensitive natural ecology, abundant naturalresources and geological disaster-prone aspects of these towns. However, due to lack ofmountain full understanding of this particular form of methodological guidance and effectiveplanning, mountain towns in the process of rapid urbanization, there has been extensivegrowth of urban land use, ecological environment and natural resources, destruction andabuse, environmental degradation, urban disaster-prone, and many other problems. Amongwhich the most prominent concentration of urban planning is urban construction zone.Therefore, this mountain town is selected for the study. Through the analysis ofurbanization it is in the context of development, in the transition process problems, includingthe positioning of convergence, errors, and industrial land use issues, and then analysis drawsome insight, in order to make the development of the mountain town some guidance the role.This thesis uses the background study, theoretical study, and empirical study system.First, today’s fast-growing mountain town of Survey, which explored the problems andpointed out the failure of traditional planning methods is an important cause of these problemsarise. Transformation of mountain towns are now the main problem facing the positioningidentical focused on the adjustment of industrial structure adjustment errors, and land space.Secondly, according to the selected cases-the new County of Hunan Province typicalmountain towns for the study, analysis of what the problem is. In the detailed statistics on thebasis of empirical research in detail for location, industry restructuring, the evolution of urbanland use characteristics, and predict the future on this basis, the county town of the basicdevelopment environment and trends.Finally, through a case study concluded. Papers based on these characteristics and thedevelopment environment, and further put forward the corresponding planning andconstruction guidance and policy support, such as the new industrial implementation ofsustainable development, building a resource-saving and environment-friendly town; shouldalways take the "social, economic, and cultural of sustainable development "; in urban landuse to reduce the waste of land resources, the efficient use.
