Theory And Case Study Of Emotion Space In Residential Planning And Design

Since1990’s, accompanying with the acceleration of urbanization and deepen of real estate reform, the construction of urban commodity residence in China presented was booming. Today, commodity residence has played the major role in real estate market. Based on this market oriented principle, the quantity of construction for intensive commodity residence has ranked the first in the world already, the residential density present the trend of continuous increasing, the quality of residence space and living environment in city generated more concerns.However, stereotyped intensive residence makes people feel more and more unsatisfied about their living environment, people become more isolated and distant due to living in this similar and sterile space, which inevitably bring absence of spiritual feeling. So, in order to constantly improve the living condition, satisfy the pursuit of emotion for residence space, bring diversity of personality in residential planning, we should better integrate the theory of emotion space and thoughts into residential planning. This is the major focus of this paper.This paper started both from document collection and field investigation. Firstly, Researched on the relevant theory of residential planning and emotion space, summarize the character and problem of existing residential planning and typical character of emotional space. Secondly, elaborated in details about the relation between residential planning and emotional space, and the associated factors between them, analyze the mechanism of interaction between them. On this basis, paper put forward own theoretical research outcome on the principle, content, method, and evaluation of emotion space in residential planning. Last but not least, chose a residential district as case to perform case study, come up with some suggestions to optimize the emotion space in residential planning. Make conclusion for the outcome of whole project, and provide own opinions about shortcoming of this paper and extension research on this direction. Finally finish this research project.
