With the rapid development of the technology of Internet of Things and people chase higher quality life, traditional concept of lighting equipment can’t meet the need that people pursing high-quality life, so the lighting system has become an inevitable demand. However, the application purpose of most of current wireless network technologies is to improve network data transmission rate, capacity and transmission distance. Instead, a system like lighting has some features:limited communication distance, smaller-capacity transmission of data, low data communication rate, real-time transmission of information, battery-powered for terminal equipment. In response to the demand, the transmission equipment used in a wireless network is required for power consumption, low cost, high reliable letter. The embedded technology and short-rang wireless communication technology become the focus of the application in this system.This article first analyzes the development of lighting system. According to compare the characteristics of several short-range wireless communication technologies, the application advantages of ZigBee technology in the field of home and building automation is described, and this article puts forward the overall scheme of the lighting system based on ZigBee technology. CC2530is select as master chip to meet the low cost and the performance requirement on the hardware system, which else has the RF transceiver. Hardware module includes a light-control input node and a light-control output node. CC2530jamming circuit, power circuit, JTAG debug interface circuit, system reset circuit, the indicator light, buzzer circuit and antenna circuit are designed in the public part of the circuit of input node and output node. The input node uses the optical coupling technology, and the output node uses a transistor driving a relay. After completing the PCB design and circuit board soldering, it has a hardware debugging on the circuit board in order to verify that the normal function of each module. Z-Stack protocol stack is introduced in the system of software design. The architecture of the protocol stack is analyzed; the user programming interface is analyzed; the network topology is analyzed. In response to the application of the lighting system, the point-to-point communication program and the program of building network of the light-control nodes are designed. The point-to-point communication verifies that the wireless RF modules of input and output nodes can transmit and receive signals normally; the program of building network involves the achievement of how to build network, how to join the network, how to bind the ports and how to send and receive data. The system performance is tested after completing the design of hardware and software modules. The test in network verifies the validity of the results according to the Packet Sniff. In the test of factors to affect the communication distance, the measures to improve the communication quality are proposed according to the analysis of experimental data. Last, this article summarizes the implementation process of the whole system, presents the specific work in the application research of lighting system based on ZigBee technology, and elaborates the issues to be solved in further development.
