With the improvement of life quality, home is not only a simple physicalspace for people, it is a comfortable, convenient, high security, beautiful andintelligent living environment. Automatic and intelligent appliances, thenetworking of source management and shopping way, advanced communicationfacilities, efficiency information terminal are expected by people. Therefore,smart home has become a trend.This paper realized smart home network based on ZigBee, and severalenergy saving methods. This smart home network is divided into internal andexternal network. The external network includes a smart terminal, a gateway anda service. The key technology of external network is NAT through technology,which based on mini6410hardware platform. The internal network is sensornetwork based on ZigBee. ZigBee is a kind of standard, the standard defines aseries of low rate and short distance wireless communication that requiredcommunication protocol. Currently the ZigBee protocol that is widely used isZigBee2007. Z-Stack protocol of TI and CC2530chip are fully compatible withZigBee2007protocol. This internal of smart home network is based on Z-Stackprotocol Stack the platform that is based on CC2530as the main chip.Energy consumption problem is important in the application of smart homenetwork, how to not impact performance and extends the service life of thebattery are the key point of this paper. In this paper, this article are first from theAngle of protocol stack to set off the search of the energy saving way. In additionthere are routing node rotation mechanism and packet to realize compressiontechniques. Routing nodes rotation mechanism according to the power of theparent and transform the the current node. Packet compression technology takesadvantage of the wireless network in the middle of the node, the intermediatenodes receive information and compress them. Final gathering nodes decodethem. This technology reduces the number of intermediate nodes to send datapackets.After the test, this paper have implemented smart home network based onZigBee which is simple and low energy consumption. It overcomes the drawbackof a lot of smart home network and has high application value.
