Multi-Lane Free-Flow Electronic Toll Collection (ETC-MLFF) system is the new type of ETC system which is designed to keep traffic flowing, achieving maximum throughput on the highway and helping to reduce traffic congestion for the whole city. The main feature of it is the automatic charging, short charging transaction time, high efficiency, speed, vehicle without the need for multiple targets processing capacity, and can effectively save area consumption and management cost.In order to solve a series of questions about how to solve the vehicle OBU transactions and leakage transactions in different traffic environments and complex high-speed driving conditions, the RSU application design about repeat transactions do not stop for multi-lane free flow electronic toll system is proposed. This article focuses on the RSU hardware requirements and software processes in the multi-lane free flow electronic toll collection system. The equipment to optimize the device can reach the requirements of the multi-lane free flow electronic parking system in the practical application. The main contents of this paper are:The first, the design framework and workflow, a project with the requirements, selection and processing of more powerful chips, optimize hardware processing capability. The second, the intervals with the frequency of the RSU antenna communication area achieve anti-jamming capability, the introduction of the255S mechanisms to the system data link layer and application layer to avoid duplication of transactions. The third, the RSU host controller and the communication interface of the program outline design. Finally, the results of equipment testing fully meet the requirements of multi-lane free flow electronic toll collection system. It can be used in the vehicle with the car, Moving Side by Side, cross-road, lane change, overtaking, parking and other conditions to avoid occur leakage transactions and repeat transactions.
