The Research And Implementation Of DSRC Protocol In Intelligent Vehicle Terminal

With the development of logistics and the increment of private cars, Traffic gets worse and toll by braking becomes a bottleneck. As an important component of Intelligent Transport System(ITS), Electronic Toll Collection(ETC) system obviously shortens the time of vehicle through the toll station,effectively alleviate traffic pressure.Thereby,ETC is an effective solution to solve this problem.To standardize the ETC system and make it compatible and networking, government established national standard named " Electronic Toll Collection-Dedicated Short Range communication" in may 2007. Although ETC system runs in parts of China,a few people use it because it is dear and single function.This paper adds ETC function in general GPS device so that more and more people will use it.This paper focus on research and implementation of intelligent vehicle terminal and DSRC protocol.Based on deep research of existing ETC and DSRC, this paper design and implement datalink layer of DSRC in intelligent vehicle terminal.This paper firstly discusses purpose and significance of ITS and ETC,give an overview of components,principle,technique and development of ETC.Secondly, software and hardware platform choosing,development environment building and integration with other software are introduced about intelligent vehicle terminal. Thirdly,the DSRC protocol is demonstrated,compared with European DSRC standard, described formally with SDL and the Finite State Machine of its datalink layer is drew.Finally,this paper implement the datalink layer function of DSRC protocol on the Freescale ADS512101 board and embedded Linux and the design plan is proved to be feasible by testing.
