The technology of Dedicated Short Range Communication is a core technology used in communications between vehicle and road or between vehicle and vehicle. And it will access a wide range of applications and important research value within the several fields of ITS, such as the electronic toll collection, information services, security monitoring & controlling, and so on.Therefore, in order to achieve the research objective of satisfying the application requirements of ETC in the environment of multi-lane free flow, this dissertation takes the national standard "electronic toll Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC)" GB / T 20851:2007 as the research base, and also the Dedicated Short Range Communication Technology Standard of European standards CEN TC278, U.S. Standard ASTM E2213 and Japanese standard ARIB T75 as the references. By analysis of the technical characteristics,application field,status and development trends of all the above DSRC standards, it gives proposes that make improvements on the GB / T 20851-2:2007 data link layer with the theory and technology of asynchronous time division multiple address (AsyTDMA) , in order to achieve the ability of one RSU could simultaneously in parallel or serial manner deal with multiple OBUs from one lane or several parallel lanes.Meanwhile, in order to improve and enhance the interoperability of devices from different manufacturers and the compability of systems from different operators, it makes an extension of interface functions for ETC applications based on the application layer of GB / T 20851-3:2007, and construct a general and abstract model for DSRC-based ETC application. This will increase the impossibility to get all the existed ETC systems together with one whole networking system, and help to promote the DSRC technology use in short range communication fields and the development of ITS industry.In addition, the dissertation also shows you with flow chart, that how the devices could communication with each other through competition and negotiation in the initialization phase. This article focuses on the research,implementation and verification of DSRC protocol standard and use specifications.Finally, the dissertation makes a brief introduction of the latest research on developments and achievements of DSRC technology --WAVE/CALM-M5 internationally, and the work and progress had done, and also the work plan of the prospects in this respect.
