As a kind of sunrise industry in Apparel industry,homewear is showing a strong market potential.Homewear is a special kind of clothes,it is taken more and more attention because of its superior than pajamas and underwear.This study discussed the design from the point of the modern female’s lifestyle at home.it is the discussion of the relationship between the lifestyle and homewear design as well as consumer behavior.This subject aims at providing a reference for the design direction of female’s homewear and the position and development of homewear company.The subject uses the consumer psychology, color science,sociology and human engineering as the theoretical support.At the same time,it is based on market principle. The main idea of this article is as follows.At fist,the subject describes the concept, classification and connotation of modern home clothing briefly.This subject analysis the originated of homewear and the Influencing factors in homewear’s promotion standing in a historical perspective to provide realistic basis for the design of homewear.Secondly,this paper summarized the general characteristics of the modern female’s lifestyle at home in the social background,and pointed out that the guiding role of modern home life style in fashion design, as well as the impact on consumer behavior. At the same time,the subject based on the results of subdivided into modern city female,the consumers can be classified into three categories, namely, family type,quality type timely fashion model.and summarizes the different preferences and design key points of different categories of women on the home clothing, provides reference data for the study of consumer home brand positioning.Thirdly,as the key part of this research,this subject summed up some principles in female’s homewear design by combining the outcome of the market research and pointed out that home clothes design need to be the family culture as the core, clear positioning and combine with the functional and aesthetic.and the discussion of the design elements of the home service.This subject elaborate the method of the design of homewear from discussing the focus and diffusion of design ideas,the reasonable plans of product structure and the development and innovation of products element,and use design practice case to combine theory with practice.At the end of the paper.author proposed present problems in modern clothing market and interpretation of the development trends of homewear industry in the background of tracksuit industrialization.
