The Comparison And Analysis Of China’s Eco-Civilization Index

Today, the ecological environment is getting worse and worse, and it has already threatened human being’s fundamental interests. China is always keeping with time and putting forward the philosophy of Eco-Civilization. It is definitely one of the biggest progresses of the development of human cultural history. However, the connotation and extension of the eco-civilization is so various that make the process of eco-civilization construction is very complicated. So, in order to simplify and quantify the eco-civilization construction, many scholars begin to emulate foreign practice to establish eco-civilization index. Although some indexes are implemented, and arouse great responses, there is still lack of an elegant index, which can be applied as a standard. Therefore, this thesis mainly analyze the representative indexes, and also refer to some international related indexes, emphasize on pointing out the inadequacies in order to give more reasonable suggestions on the improvement of China’s eco-civilization index.
