| Geographic information system (GIS) which was developed in1960this one of spatialinformation management system using computer technology to manage and store informationof earth resource.3D GIS, which was developed from2D GIS, combines viral reality (VR)technology and scientific visual technology to establish a new branch of GIS. Powertransmission line (PTL) is one of the important parts of electric system. In the past few years,it is very universal to utilize GIS to construct PTL management system. However, traditional2D could not meet the growing need of PTL management system, using3D GIS asdeveloping platform new generation of PTL management system not only have the advantageof2D GIS but also can use3D GIS to provide real image of power transmission line, itsancillary facilities, such as tower, converting system and the characters of geography andhumanity around it.The author of this paper made the research of the theme mentioned before. For thereason that3D GIS is the mayor technical support to PTL management system, this paper firstelaborate the conception, characters of3D GIS and the present developing status as well.After that, by simply introducing the conception and characters of PTL management systemand analyzing the functions required by the PTL management system, the author broach theconception of3D-PTL management a new system combining the3D GIS and PTLmanagement.Secondly, basing on the requirement and character of PTL management the authoranalyze the requirement of3DGIS-PTL management system and design the mayor function ofthe system---PTL computer-aided design. After that, we constructed a new layeredframework (4layer frame) for3DGIS-PTL management system and dividedly elaborate thecharacter and function of each layer. This new framework is different from the traditionalframe1to1framework, which obviously divided the work, enhancing the efficiency ofdesignation and having the well opening and reusability.In the third part of the paper, the author research and elaborate the kernel problem of thesystem----date management problem. The author classified the various data in3DGIS-PTLmanagement system into two classes------spatial data and non-spatial data, according to theirspatial characters then analyzed the way to obtain these two classes data. Because thetraditional method of data management cannot afford such huge quantity of data like thespatial data in3DGIS-PTL management system, the author suggest dividing the spatial date insystem into3parts---DEM Geometric model data, image raster data and vector data and usingLOD to manage DEM Geometric model data, using maptile technology to manage imageraster data, using classification method to manage vector data. When creating the3D scene,the system superimposes the3parts of data on each other. This kind of method of datamanagement not only facilitates the creation of3D scene but simplify the data managing aswell.In the final part, by setting a specific3D GIS Power Transmission Line Managementsystem as an example the author elaborates soft/hard facility of the system, source of the data and how to handle these data. I depict the process of the solution to the real problem ofthe Power Transmission Line Management. At last, I discuss the problem and defect of thesystem and broach some suggestion to consummate the system. |
