The paper uses the productivity theory.and econometrics, according to the actual situation of Gansu Province, researches productivity measurement method to determine a mathematical model to estimate the productivity of the logistics industry in Gansu Province. This article use provincial panel data from2000to2010, based on parametric Malmquist index DEA method to estimate the Gansu province total factor productivity growth, and then analyzes the total factor productivity and economic, capital, labor growth trend of change, explores the economic growth source of Gansu province logistics industry. The paper includes seven parts. The first chapter is an introduction. Described the review of this thesis is closely related to the total factor productivity at home and abroad, the research seeks to clarify the research status of the productivity measure. The second chapter is theoretical review. Mainly studied the theory of economic development, industry evolution theory, economic gradient theory and logistics industry theory, in order to explore the rules and characteristics of the logistics development. The third chapter is to analyze the development status of the logistics industry in Gansu Province, described from five aspects of the transportation, warehousing and logistics, wholesale and retail, third-party logistics and logistics information technology. The fourth chapter is the analysis of comparative total factor productivity calculation method to determine the model of total factor productivity measure for the logistics industry in Gansu Province; it is the non-parametric index approach. The fifth chapter is the empirical research on the productivity of the logistics industry in Gansu Province from2000to2010.Deap2.1software uses advanced data processing model of non-parametric index of the logistics industry in Gansu Province, to estimate changes in the past10years, the productivity of the logistics industry in our province, and analysis of technological progress, technical efficiency, total factor productivity changes. The six chapter is the analysis of Gansu Province of the development status of the eastern, central and western provinces, the logistics industry and logistics industry productivity measurement data exist to explore the development of logistics industry in Gansu Province. The seventh analyzes the estimation results of the productivity of the logistics industry in Gansu Province and proposed suggestions for the logistics industry in our province’s economic growth. The whole conclusion:(1) The total factor productivity of logistics industry in Gansu province between2000to2010years average growth rate was9.7%, mainly due to technological progress level rise, technical progress is the main force to promote the growth of total factor productivity of Gansu province, and the efficiency is fluctuant, basically is pure technical efficiency play a role and scale economy effect is not obvious;(2) Through the research of the logistics industry in Gansu province the total factor productivity, capital investment, the changing trend of labor input, we can infer the logistics industry in Gansu province economic growth is belong to capital drive, technology is not obvious, the quality of economic growth is relatively stable;(3) Although the logistics industry in Gansu Province in recent years of sustained and stable development, but in the East and central provinces of logistics industry development phase contrast in the process, we can see that there are obvious difference in the capital investment, the number of practitioners and logistics industry total production value, it leads to differences in productivity about the logistics industry.
