The Study And Countermeasures On The Marine Geological Disasters In Ruian City,Zhejiang Province

The occurrence of marine disasters has brought a great loss to the economy,society and people’s lives and property of coastal areas. Ruian City, the study area ofthe thesis, a developed area with marine disasters occurring frequently, which islocated in the southeast coast of Zhejiang Province, belongs to the typical regionswhose economic development is restricted by marine disasters. In order to leaddisaster prevention and mitigation of coastal areas using scientific researchs onmarine geological disasters, combining with field investigation, the author studied themarine geological disasters in Ruian City, put forward the countermeasures and drewup a draft emergency contingency plan, on the basis of a wide range of predecessorsresearch results.Geohazards are closely related to the formation, development of geologicalfactors. At first, this thesis investigated and understood the geographical conditionsand regional geological background of the research area. The definition and featurebetween geohazards and geohazards factors were also distinguished. Secondly, themain types of marine disasters in China, WenZhou and Ruian, and the types of marinegeological disasters of Ruian had been confirmed through the statistics upon theinformation provided in the whole country, in WenZhou city and the local authorities.Furthermore, through the data investigation, the thesis summed up the principle ofdivision of marine geohazards factors (including benthic and coastal), selected theappropriate classification scheme and got a preliminary classification of the Ruianmarine geohazards factors types according to the actual situation and info rmation ofthe area. And then, after a thorough case-by-case analysis and study, the types ofRuian marine geohazards factors were amended. Through the ranking of the factorswhich will have a greater impact on the region according to the reducing damagedegree, the characteristics on marine geohazards in Ruian had been understood.Above all, this paper draws a conclusion: the marine geological disasters inRuian include earthquakes, active faults, coast siltation, shallow gas, sea level rise,land subsidence, seawater intrusion and soil salinization; there are four types of thelocal marine geohazards factors: tectonic type, geotechnical-stratum type, sea-air interaction type, and human activity type; after sequencing the factors which will havea greater impact on the region according to the reducing damage degree, the rankresults are storm surge disasters, sea level rise, land subsidence, seawater intrusionand soil salinization.
