Mentougou county is located in the west of Beijing, the distance is13kilometers tothe downtown. Its total area is about1455square kilometers, Of these,98.5percent aremountainous,1.5percent are plain area. According to the economic structure and cityfunction orientation of the capital, Mentougou county was identified as the "ecologicalconservation zones". But as an important energy base of Beijing, the exploitation ofresources such as coal, sand and lime used to be the leading industry of Mentougoucounty, the human engineering activities such as mining, building roads is relativelystrong, combined with the geological structures is very developmental, formation isrelatively complex and rainfall distribution is very uneven, Which leads to a lot ofgeological hazards and seriously affects and destroys the environment. It isespecially necessary for the prevention and control of geological disasters and restorethe ecological environment to finds out the development characteristics of geologicaldisasters, analyzes the influence factors of geological disasters and evaluatesgeological disaster susceptibility.On the basis of fully collecting information such as natural geographic andgeological environment, combined with the detailed investigation results of thegeological disasters, this paper deeply analyzes the development status quo ofgeological disasters, Geological environmental conditions, the distributioncharacteristics of the potential geological disaster and its influence factors, evaluatesgeological disaster susceptibility, and on this basis, gives the preliminary suggestionsfor the prevention and control measures of the geological disasters.The main contents are as following:1.
