There are abundant bamboo resources in Yiyang. Yiyang is famous for bamboo. Bamboo products have a long history in Yiyang. Bamboo industry is not only a traditional industry, but also a strategic new industry in Yiyang. The development of bamboo products industry plays a very important part for the development of the whole city.With the rapid social and economic development, Yiyang bamboo products also face more competition and challenges in the market. And the problem of marketing channels is a serious problem it faces. In this paper, the author study the marketing channel's situation and problem for bamboo products in Yiyang, combining a number of agricultural marketing channels theories, results. Through the analysis of the present marketing channels status and the problems, the author gave some propositions to optimize the marketing channel on bamboo products in Yiyang as follows:(1) Optimize and upgrade the bamboo products in Yiyang. Only the marketable products will be welcomed by consumers, and can meet and guide the market demand, so bamboo product enterprises should have innovations to produce better products, and create more brand name products.(2) Enhance the competitiveness of the main channel upstream. The small size of the main channel upstream and low degree of organization are the outstanding problems of the channel upstream. To change this situation, the main channel upstream should be organized and given large-scale transformation. In this way, we can enhance the competitiveness of bamboo products in Yiyang in the market.(3) Establish the bamboo products supermarket chain. Supermarkets and chain stores for bamboo products are operating large-scale socialized production and reflect modern methods of distribution. They can achieve the standardization of business activities, professionalism and unity, so as to improve the scale of benefits.(4) Innovate the way of transaction. Apply auction trading and the implementation of e-commerce of bamboo products, to make management more standardized. And in this way, the producers can make scientific decisions and make reasonable arrangements for production.(5) Establish the markets or trading centers for bamboo products. Such markets or trading centers can provide professional services for the companies or guests.(6) Organize the bamboo products exhibition or trade fair:In this way, more people will be familiar with Yiyang bamboo products, and can increase the sales of Yiyang bamboo products.
