Study On Suppliers' Evaluation For Electronic Components Based On AHP&DEA

Supplier evaluation and selection of enterprise is one of the important issuesfor demand management and supply chain management of enterprises, andelectronic information technology as the core of modern information technologyrevolution, the electronic components in a very important strategic position, Thelevel of its quality directly related to the electronic equipment performance andreliability, while the level of advanced electronic components is also amanifestation of the scientific and technological level of a nation. Therefore, theelectronic components supplier selection and evaluation will be in a very importantposition. For manufacturing enterprises, a suitable suppliers can help the companiesto produce high-quality, high reliability electronic products and thus become a realpartner to the enterprise, so as to achieve the purpose of two-to-win. In the trend ofthe globalization, how to decide the suppliers from the large number of vendors ofelectronic components with different levels is of great importance the productionand the long-term development of the enterprises.There existing a lot literature on the evaluation of suppliers, but little researchon the evaluation suppliers of electronic component. This paper proposed a methodwhich combined AHP and DEA evaluate electronic components suppliers based ondiscussion about the traits of electronic components. At the same time weestablished the index for the evaluation model of electronic components supplier,the method used in this paper which combined DEA and AHP overcame theweakness of the AHP method so as to achieve a better evaluation of results. Finally,based on the model above, we did a empirical analysis using the data of a largeelectronics company. The result of this empirical analysis showed that the methodand model we proposed have a good evaluation effect.
