H Company Inventory In The Supply Chain Environment Improvement Research

Since the 1990s, with the gradual formation of global marketplace, processing and manufacturing enterprises have to compete for resources and market in the worldwide, thereby, new inventory management measures and management mode which can adapt to the new competitive environment come into being. As a sort of extended enterprise, supply chain maximizes the net added value in all relavant processes through the optimization of speed and certainty. In which the inventory management plays an important role, the competition between enterprises is actually the competition of supply chain, inventory management is a key link in that chain.Taking the inventory management of manufacturing enterprises in China as the research object, the paper seeks the theory and method to reduce inventory cost through analyzing the causes of the emergence of inventory. Start the paper makes a deep research on the key problem in supply chain and the inventory, and introduces several inventory management modes in supply chain management including Jointly Managed Inventory (JMI), Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI),consensus forecast, Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment (CPER) and multi-stage inventory optimization etc. Secondly, the paper researches the problem of inventory management from the perspective of supply chain management with H company as the research object.
