This paper deeply explores the project management system of implementing information technology in C bank, Yangzhou Branch based on the summary made by others on the application of the project management in the area of financial information technology.The paper consists of seven chapters. The first chapter is the overview introduction. Chapter Two to Six is the body part which deals with the subject matters. And the last chapter is the conclusion part. The introduction briefs on the background information and significance of the topic, current research in China and aboard as well as the main research theory and method. In Chapter Two, the author introduces the concept of the banking information technology project and the project management. He points out the background, current management situation and problems of C bank, Yangzhou branch and its information technology in Chapter Three. Furthermore, the author provides solutions to effectively carry out project management on information technology in branch banks. According to Chapter Three, it lays out the basic ideas of implementing project management on information technology in branch bank in Chapter Four, including the principle, objective, organization mode, establishment of the project team and the major content of the project management. Chapter Five covers the assurance system for the project management of information technology in Yangzhou branch, with emphasis on enhancing the importance given by the leaders and building of the security, promoting communication on the assurance building and the concrete measures that should be taken. Chapter Six mainly conducts a case study on the project management for the EPS project in bank branches. The case describes the relevant information of the system, the plan for implementation of the project management and the outcome. The summary of the paper and some achievements can also be found in this chapter. In addition, it outlines the weaknesses of the paper and areas that need to be improved.This paper aims to improve the information technology management, promote rapid and sustainable development of the bank in Yangzhou, and share experience and reference on the effective banking information technology project management within banking industry through the study of the project management on information technology in C bank, Yangzhou branch.
