Wang Zhongmin Directory Studies Discussion

Wang Zhongmin was a famous contemporary expert in China. He had a lot ofunique contributions in many academic fields, for instance the bibliography, Dunhuangscience, version science, the local records and the historical documents, especially hisexcellent achievements of the bibliography. It has been a history of nearly three decadesof researches about Wang Zhongmin academic achievement, which have their differentemphases and characteristics. But it's fragmented and insufficiently comprehensive inthe study of bibliography of Wang Zhongmin. As far as possible to occupy this phase ofthe study material for serious summary, sorting, comparison, analysis, this paperdescribes and summarizes briefly Wang Zhongmin's theory research and practiceexplore, his achievement, his thought, his research characteristic and method inBibliography. And the Bibliography phase of Wang Zhongmin is compared with thebibliography thought of Yao Mingda and Yu Jiaxi. This paper is to reveal the concept ofWang Zhongmin that the bibliography is for the research method to explore theimportant academic field. His directory studies philosophical foundation was based onMarxism-Leninism and the historical materialism. His research is combined with thebackground to study the analysis of the history of bibliography, in order to constructmodern bibliography theoretical system, to create coherence excellent traditional andmodern scientific bibliography.
