As a part of American government organization, The Voice of America (VOA) isthe important official mouthpiece of publicity to the outside. It has provided services forthe American national interests and diplomatic policies for7decades. With the changingof Sino-American relations and the development of new media technologies, thepublicity of VOA to China has entered into the period of changing from the period ofcold war. The using of broadcast is declining; meanwhile, the using of new mediatechnologies is beginning.This article deeply sorts and analyses the publicity strategies of VOA towardsChina, explains the ways that VOA achieves its publicity strategies from two aspects ofpublicity positioning, the publicity means and concludes the effects that VOA gainsfrom publicity to the outside. We need to explore the new methods, new ways ofpublicity to the outside of our own based on the beneficial experiences of VOA in orderto adapt the changing era effectively and pertinently and set up a better image of ourState.
