With the acceleration of China’s urbanization process and the rapid development of Chinese cities,the construction of new urban culture and the establishment of urban image have become hot topics in China’s urbanization.The media plays an important role in shaping and spreading the publicity image of a city.Propaganda videos combine images,sounds,colors and other"audio-visual symbols" to construct a more three-dimensional,vivid and intuitive perceivable city image and become an important window for the public to understand the city.Its unique creative structure in production and presentation,beautiful lens and smooth audio-visual language,can also more directly convey the image and culture of the city,highlighting the extraordinary charm of the city.Globalization is the general trend of the development of the world today,and the external publicity of city image is increasingly paid attention to by the government.The number of external publicity films of city image is also increasing,but the problems are often obvious.Based on this,this paper chose held four years in a row of the world famous city "the Nanjing week" activity heralded piece,and will be sent to you by category construction method combing a promotional video,film and television of city symbol choose the purpose and significance,puts forward the city’s image in a cross-cultural context heralded piece of creative strategies,also can let us better understand the city show the image of the subjective intention thought and cultural connotations.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction of this study,which summarizes the current academic achievements in the construction of urban image media and elaborates the significance of this study.The second part analyzes the relationship between the city image and the media,as well as the elements of the media framework.The construction of the city media is divided into five aspects:the city logo,the city history and culture,the city media,the city infrastructure and the city character image,which provide the framework and model for the following analysis.In the third part,the content analysis method is adopted to analyze the"Nanjing Week" propaganda films.The propaganda images are divided according to different categories,the production elements of the propaganda films are analyzed,and the communication strategies of the "Nanjing week" propaganda films are found out.The fourth part is to summarize the advantages and disadvantages of the "Nanjing Week" propaganda films,and in the cross-cultural context,combined with the advantages of Shanghai and other cities propaganda films,feasible suggestions are proposed as a reference for the future city image propaganda films.The conclusion part summarizes the research and reflects on the shortcomings of the research.
