Wireless Sensor Network is a combination of the contemporary electronic technology, the Sensor technology, Wireless communication technology, the embedded system and distributed computing systems information technology advance development, it contains a lots of nodes that distributed in the region were detected of the form small, cheap, low consumption of Sensor node component, through multiple hops routing gradually close to the destination Wireless Network system. Through the perception, collection and forwarding network area perceived objects of all kinds of information, to send them to the purpose of observation subject.Wireless sensor network (WSN) has become the one of important research field at home and abroad. Research shows that wireless sensor network has wide application background, especially in the military field or normal man is out of reach for chemical plant (for example a region monitoring), because the target area is restricted so manifested the superiority of wireless sensor network.ZigBee technology is designed for low speed sensor and control network design, with low power consumption and low costing, good safety and high self-healing capability, agreement of simple features and suitable for application in wireless sensor network.The traditional network mode has existed high cost, difficult cabling problem.based on higher costs of maintaining ZigBee technology of wireless sensor network was solved used in chemical process of production aiming at cost is high, cabling difficult and maintenance costs higher problem, real-time monitoring toxic or harmful gases concentration changes, and sent monitor information to users by terminal nodes, it not only greatly improved the efficiency, but also compared with the traditional artificial, cable method, It has characteristics of lower cost and low impact on environment, maintenance management convenient, avoid wiring, flexible, and for special position put massively stationing.Based on domestic a chemical factory workshop and workshop of wireless network technology, the development situation of investigation in chemical factory area laq CH4, LPG, such as toxic or harmful gases concentration information monitoring, using CC2430 single-chip microcomputer and MC114 and MS1100 methane and formaldehyde gas sensors, using ZigBee as the core of wireless sensor network, constructing the security, low power consumption, and flexibility of the chemical factory poisonous and harmful gas concentration monitoring system. As the system data transmission with the mode of sensor test data in a short distance, multi-node, self-organizing wireless network, it could use the USB interface gateway to connect the WSN and internet to implement the data transmission with internet.
