It's full of printing products in the life of people. Many printing products, such as newspapers, publications, books, bag, and stamps, all use gravure printing technology. In the production process of printing, the tension control directly determine the quality of the printing products. Therefore, it's very important to control the tension of the printing production in the process of gravure printing. The traditional way to control the tension is to connect all the control unit for centralized control. This method attaches much and long, it can't adapt to the further development of printing machine equipment.According to the characteristics of the tension control in gravure printing, analyzing the tension of the change rules and influence factors, and adopting the coil diameter control method without tension sensor to control tension. In this method, proportion solution formula is adopted to Calculate the diameter of drum, and put forward the corresponding solutions for the calculation failure in a special case. At the same time, use the embedded CAN controller in STM32MCU to design the CAN bus transmission channel, and with the values of transmission coil diameter and current to control execution component., then control the tension in the process of requested roll and given roll.This paper divided the system into detecting module, calculating and controlling module and executing module. Each module performs its own work and also interlinked. The detecting module used proximity switches detect corresponding shaft's speed to output little disturbance pulse signal. The calculating and controlling module calculate and generate a control signal according to the control formula which calculated by tension model. The executing module generate the accurate current according to the control signals and connect each module by CAN bus enable them to transmit information.This paper also detailed design each module's hardware and software. The paper's focal point is the research of the constant current source who produce the actuator to generate tension and also use of switching power supply design a constant current source to improve the traditional design of amplification by the DAC output constant current source. On the basis of the analysis of buck BuckDC/DC converter, the paper design the synchronous Buck converter as its topology to improve the conversion efficiency of the constant current source, depth analysis on the dead zone in Synchronous Buck and add the feedback to improve the The output accuracy, thereby improving the control accuracy and reliability of the implementation of the components.
