Design And Implementation Of Voice And Video Communication System In The Elderly Community Based On Android

With the deepening of China's aging, the new elderly community systems will become a popular research topic in the future.Comparing with the ordinary community, the design for the new elderly community needs to be robust and barrier-freely, the monitory management needs to be comprehensive and can response in real time. Meanwhile, the voice and video communication system needs to be more intelligent easer in use.In Japan, a lot of modern technology is used on the construction of the elderly community. Kashiwa Sun City, Cho-fu Sun City, Kanagawa Sun City, use the iOS to develop the elderly community has greatly improved the standard of care for the elderly.At present, most of the elderly community still uses the traditional voice and video communication system. In this background, the development and research of the system are completed in the popular platform of Android and we transmit the dates through the Wi-Fi networks which based on IEEE802.11.The PDA is easy for the elderly and caregivers to carry. Besides, we can get high-quality of voice communication and clear and smooth video image. What's more, by use of the IP network, the network management for local system can be possible.The Voice communication module in the system consists of PDA which designed following the SIP protocol stack that based on the Android platform and non-open source SIP server (PC side). Besides, the video module is using the H.264codec for video transmission that between the PC side and the PDA.After the end of the voice and video communication, the records can be saved to the local server as required to provide support for the calling of remote terminal.At last, the paper completed based on the experiment and design, and the result will be shown in the text.
