With the development of smart phones,as well as the popularity of WIFI,3G and 4G networks,there is growing requirements for data business services.However,the tariffs of traditional telephony are much more than that of VoIP which is based on data business and the business is not rich enough.Therefore,it is important for actual significance and market value to research VoIP system based on smart phones.There are several weak points of the existing VoIP systems,such as not supporting multiple voice compression coding,weak on HD video encode and decode ability and video Qos,and so on.In this paper,we design and realize a VoIP system based on Android.The major work can be summarized as follows:First,the system analyzed and designed the HD 720p video codec based on video Hardware encoding combined with V4L2.The result meets our project requirements.In terms of audio encoding and decoding,we analyzed the audio codec technology and implemented G.711A and G.711? speech compression codec technology,system automatic consultation to common decide the coding-decoding algorithm in a user call,which is strong in scalability.Furthermore,design and realization of the FEC algorithm for data packet loss and error during audio and video call,it can effectively solve the data packet loss and error problem.Finally,the VoIP system based on the Android and built experiment platform to test the performance of our system,evaluating the effectiveness of FEC algorithm.Experimental results show that system can satisfy the audio and video calls requirements.FEC algorithms improve the usability of the system,meet VoIP system design requirements.
