Research On Iris Recognition Device

With the development of the informational technology in this era,the human personidentification device based on iris is becoming the target of more and morecustomers.Compared to the net-based system,iris recognition device has the advantage ofindependence,easily installing,etc,and it can be used in the area which needs such specialidentification recognition method such as path-control system,home lock system,etc.Thisdevice is designed based on the TMS320DM642 embedded DSP and it has all the basicfunctions of an iris system which includes image acquisition,registering and informationsmatching.The TMS320DM642 DSP here is worked as the core processor to do the peripheralcontrol,flow control and algorithm processing.The system uses the real time operationsystem DSP/BIOS to make up tasks of image,threads control,network and encoding workand uses mailboxes communication method,SCOM(Synchronized Communication module)method to act the communication among the tasks.This design uses special iris imagecamera to realize the image acquiring.In this the video-port mini driver plays a key role inwhich it sets up the SAA7115 video decoder.In the network data transfer system,EthernetController LXT971 and TI NDK(Network Developer's Kit) is chosen and the user can typethe user number into the system using the CGI html interface which showed on thecomputer screen.Also the real time image of the registering user's iris can be shown in thehtml file with uploaded JAVA applet component.For the response of the system flow andthe user's number,an LCD 12864 is added.An AM29LV033C Flash is used to storage theinformation of code and user data with properly designed storage mapping method.Ccode optimization method based on TMS320C6000 DSP is also used to optimize the codeto speed the system.Tests shows that this design fully uses the peripheral ability and the algorithmprocessing ability of the DSP.It is cheap,new,easily used,stable and reliable.
