In order to acquire a better performance of servo system, it is necessary for us to study with the dynamic performance of system and simulate the actual operation of the loading. Before many test systems are designed based on the traditional instruments. With the continuous development of computer technology, virtual instruments has been widely used because of its flexible and simple. This paper will use the virtual instrument technology to achieve the loading test system.Firstly, this paper summarizes the development of loading techniques and virtual instrument and analysis of several commonly used way of loading. Combined with the actual load characteristics of system, this paper completes the overall design of loading test system. On this basis, this paper completes the design of upper computer and sub-computer.The upper computer, constructed by virtual instrument, can output complex data and waveform. The hardware platform is built with PXI chassis. PXI bus system has many advantages, such as running fast, compact size and good anti-jamming. Because of these advantages, it can complete real-time data acquisition and output capabilities. The software development platform is constructed by LabVIEW of NI.. The software interface is intuitive, easy to operate, fully functional and good interpersonal interaction, which can achieve the loading of specified location, the loading of specified waveform, the loading of specified cycle and complex loading patterns.As sub-computer of system, the loading controller achieve docking with the upper computer and dealing with the loading instructions. At last the loading instructions are sent to the motor drive and complete the loading task. The loading controller uses high-performance TMS320LF2407A as its processor. It has two functions. One of functions is collecting information of servo system and communicating with the host computer. Another function is to handle the loading instruction from host computer and sent to the motor drive. Final variety of loading tasks are completed.Finally, this paper finishes the debugging and test, which concludes feasibility and accuracy of the system. The result indicates the design is reasonable. The system can simulate the load environment efficiently, so that it opens a door to improve the performance of certain servo equipment.
