Several simple meterials were used to synthesize BODIPY, bis(2-picoyl)amine(DPA) and Tetraphenlyethylene(TPE) in this thesis. Compound S1 was synthsesized from BODIPY and DPA which were combined with two triazole moieties separately through click reaction. Another compound S2 was also designed and obtained. The structures of all the new compounds were characterized by 1H NMR and MS. The conditions of Click reaction were optimized in the experiments. The results showed that the optimal condition with the yield up to 80% was:CUSO4ยท5H2O and sodium ascorbate were used as catalysts, and DMF/H2O as solvents. The optical properties of S1 and S2 with response to metal ions were systematically determined and studied by UV spectrum and fluorescent spectrum. The results indicated that, S1 is a fluorescent molecule with high intensity and insensitive to pH. The florescent intensity of S1 was quenched by Co2+ and Cu2+ by 80% and 50% respectively in THF/H2O (2:1; v/v). S1 which behaves high selectivity and sensitivity for Co2+ with no interference from other metals, could form 1:1 complex with Co2+, and the detection limit of this Co2+ assay can reach 10-7M. Moreover, S1 displayed good selectivity and sensitivity for Cu2+ with the absence of Co2+. The intensity of S1 was linearly decreased with the addition of Cu2+ in THF/H2O (2:1, v/v) and a stable 1:1 complex could form between S1 and Cu2+, with the detection limit 10"7 M which exhibited high sensitivity. Therefore S1 is candidated to be an excellent fluorescent chemsensor for Co2+ and Cu2+However, the fluorescent spectrum of S2 was sensitive to pH in acid conditions, while insensitive in neutral or basic conditions. An experiment conducted in a basic condition indicated that S2 behaved no selectivity toward metal ions. S2 is not a potential fluorescent chemsensor for metal ions.
