Nowadays, more and more researchers are paying attention to the invisible orthodontic treatment technology, with the rapid development of computer graphics and the other related technology. The digital models of the patients in the invisible orthodontic treatment system are obtained by advanced 3D scanning devices. After the procedures of tooth segmentation, tooth movement, treatment plan establishment, gum model deformation and attachment installation, we will get the final digital models which can be used to produce the real aligners.Compared with the traditional orthodontic treatment technology, invisible orthodontic treatment can get the accurate digital models of the patients, and the made-to-measure aligners for patients will be produced. In addition, doctors and patients can observe the simulated treatment plan and get the orthodontic parameters conveniently.Most of the existing invisible orthodontic systems move the teeth manually. In contrast, we have developed an approach to align the teeth automatically. Our system can generate high-quality treatment plans while satisfying the requirements from the doctors. A method combining with the ideal arch form, particle swarm algorithm, and collision detection is presented to generate the treatment plan. The system can accelerate the design procedure while keeping the results reasonable. |
