Orthodontics is getting more and more popular in our daily life. The application of computer aided design in orthodontics started from last century. In this thesis, we have realized the main functions in our invisible orthodontics. These functions are indispensable in the orthodontic treatment. The whole thesis is divided into six chapters. In Chapter one, after introducing the basic biological knowledge of orthodontics, we describe the development of computer-aided orthodontic technology at home and abroad. Then, we present the framework of an invisible orthodontics system. In Chapter two, we present a rotation invariant Laplacian deformation. By utilizing the feature of a sparse matrix, we adopt SuperLU to solve the linear equation system. Two smoothing algorithms are optionally employed to smooth the model. In Chapter three, we introduce our virtual occlusion based on the classic Iterative Closet Point algorithm. We use space subdividion and GPU to improve the performance. In Chapter four, we introduce a plane clipping algorithm to clip imported mesh model. In Chapter five, introducing the diagnosis module of our invisible orthodontics system. Some uer-friendly user interfaces are employed to calculate the tooth parameters. In Chapter six, concluding the thesis and discuss the directions for future work.
