With the rapid development of the three-dimension digitized technology and Computer Graphic, simulation technology has more and more application in the medical field. Utilizing three-dimension graphic technology may conveniently obtain the high-accuracy three-dimensional model. How to analyze and compare the shape of these models, how to deform these models, and how to interact with these models with reality feeling, it became a focus of cross multi-disciplinarily research of Computer Graphic and medical science. Such researches have extensive application in computer_aided operation and doctor's operation training. The old dental training approach in surgery, so called "see one, do one and teach one", is being replaced by "see one, practice many, do one and teach one", because virtual reality based training tools allow trainees to practice dental surgical procedures or tasks as many times as they want before performing a real operation.In the paper triangle-mesh of four layers of tree-like structure is used to set up the three-dimensional data model of tooth; And simulating clinician's meticulous repairment of the border tooth model deforming course using the cone_pin. In the paper the main work include 3 respects:1, four layers of tree-like structure of the tooth have been studied. The four layers structure are vertex layer, triangle_mesh layer, strip layer and unit layer Pyramid structure, and is a kind of Boundary representation based on vertex, it layered according to the vertex- triang!e_mesh- strip- unit, and has established relations between layers and relations inside layer. The structure meet the requirement of the deformation operation very well.2, the collision detection between border representation tooth model and cone_pin model has been studied. Because tooth is a kind of special concave body, and the tooth model of this paper is to require accurate intersecting results and constant upgrading, collision detection method of hierarchical bounding volume trees are not suitable for this tooth model.
