IP centered service and bearing networks have being the continuous driven force for transport networks. With the widely application of 2G/3G wireless backhaul, IPTV based broadband data service, Ethernet Line and L2VPN service; there has been an urgent requirement for a flexible, efficiency and low cost packet oriented transport platform to realize full service bearing and network evolution. Packet Transport network (PTN) is the promising technology to meet these demands. This thesis presents a comprehensive and in-depth study on PTN networking and planning technology and its application in Nanjing Mobile networks.This thesis presents a brief introduction of PTN principles and major technologies including layer structure, frame format, label forwarding, pseduwire emulation, and implementations. Then PTN networking and planning techniques are analyzed such as networking strategy, network management solution, VLAN and IP address allocation, quality of service issues, and timing clock solutions. Finally, a specific PTN networking and planning scenario for Nanjing Mobile is proposed with the analysis of actual project. |
