Research On The Project Requirement Management Of The Telecommunications Business Intelligence System

Along with the restructuring of the telecommunications industry, China's telecom industry's market structure has undergone major changes. Domestic competition in the telecommunications industry has come into the era of comprehensive, and stable customers and enhance customer value become the focus of all telecommunications business operators. The price competition which is a method of traditional simple competition has been upgraded to a competition of comprehensive service capabilities. The market competition requires the support from a good business intelligence system.The current focus of telecommunications IT system is business intelligence system, so project management research for business intelligence system is the integration of the software vendor's key object to study, and because the special features of business intelligence system, requirement management has a large difference from traditional IT systems. In complexity, change frequency and timeliness of the requirement response have higher requirements. So project requirement management research for business intelligence system is of great significance.Based on the two common project management theories, PMBOK and CMMI, this paper will carry out a in-depth analysis on the project requirement management research of telecommunications business intelligence system, and it will propose some improve ideas and actions, which have been executed on the expansion project of Fujian Telecom data warehouse system in 2011.Studies have shown that, to improve the requirement management capabilities of telecommunications business intelligence system, should establish the ability to support the process-oriented to make the process clear; through the knowledge base to enhance the rapid identification of duplicate capacity requirements; should improve the capabilities on the communication,analytical methods or design methods,such as to create reasonable analysis templates and design templates, to introduces a prototype design tool, etc.
