In recent years, small banknote sorters have been used quickly extended and applied in the financial equipment market. High-speed data sampling technology applied to paper money is the precondition to realize distribution technology. According to the demand of market and new recognition algorithm being put forward, the existing banknote sorter faces many problems, including difficult to ascending operation speed and having not enough memory space. In order to overcome the existing banknote sorter operation speed and the bottleneck of the memory space, this paper introduces a design of high performance sampling system based on DSP.In the aspect of hardware design. This paper proposes using the latest TMS320DM648ZUT chips of Texas instruments (TI) company as the core, and designs more higher-speed and more higher-capacity notes system on image collection identification. The design of the system mainly includes the clock circuit design, peripheral memory circuit design, gigabit Ethernet interface design, image sampling input/output interface design, and so on. And then the whole system is debugged.In the aspect of software design. Based on system hardware, each module of system has been developed on the bottom drive. That realizes the software design of MSP430 microcontroller. The program design of BOOTLOADER self-starting system, software design of image Sampling and the bottom driver program of peripheral equipment DM648. And the test has been finished.This paper mainly introduced the realization of hardware platform, including power supply circuit, clocking circuit and DDR2 SDRAM, FLASH, the design of input-output on image sampling, etc. Software and hardware test has been debugged, and the drive has been developed.
