Research And Implementation Of RLC Layer Protocol Software In TD-SCDMA

TD-SCDMA is one of the three standard of the third generation mobile communicationsystem, which has draw researchers, mobile communication experts and telecom companies'attention. Though started later than other standards, TD-SCDMA as China's 3G stadnard withindependent intellectual property rights , more advanced technically and strong support bycountry, should has a potential future. Nowadays,3G has begun a large-scale commercial inChina and has achieved national coverage of cities. It makes research TD-SCDMA systemmore and more important. This paper, research and implementation of RLC layer protocolsoftware in TD-SCDMA, is subproject of TD-SCDMA upper protocol system project incomba communication company. As part of practical engineering application software, weneed analysis and research interface protocol part of TD-SCDMA system, including radioresource control layer and radio link control layer. RLC layer protocol is the key of theresearch. According to actual situation of the project's requirements, we need to partialimplement RLC protocol to make it more suitable for TD-SCDMA upper protocol system.This paper uses 3GPP TS25.322 as its main reference protocol. The RLC protocolsoftware uses vxworks multitasking real-time operating system platform, and debugs in thefemto board in comba's laboratory.This paper is main about design, coding and debugging work of RLC protocol software.This work includes needs analysis, the overall structure of the design, design of threetransmission modes in RLC, define data structures and timers. According to actual needs ofthe project and difficult, we simplified but complete implementation of the RLC layerprotocol. At present, RLC layer's overall design and three transmission modules has met thereal application requirements, and the intended function have been successfully achieved.
