TD-SCDMA, which is the3G standard with Intellectual property rights from China, is one of the three third-generation mobile communication system standards. Even though this standard was set up later than the others, it has a large amount of technical advantages. Meanwhile, with the great support from the government, TD-SCDMA is operated by China Mobile, which is the largest communication operator of China. Therefore, researchers and communication equipments suppliers all around the world pay close attention to TD-SCDMA. Nowadays, the commercial of3G communication system has fully developed, many cities of China have been coverage by TD-SCDMA signal. However, as the number of user equipments growing up, coverage quality may not satisfy the needs as before. Femto, which is the mini base station used indoor, is consider as a great solution for the problem because of its advantages:low cost and easy to setup. Using femto technology on TD-SCDMA system become a hot issue to be facing.The object of this article is attached to the TD-SCDMA Femtocell Upper-Layer protocol software project, running by the cooperative company, which is a part of practical application research. After designing the software architecture of Layer2and realizing RLC subsystem software, we study the TD-SCDMA communication standard in more depth. During the project, we study of TD-SCDMA air interface upper-layer protocol (the RRC module of business layer and the data-link layer), and designed the interface parameters to the physical layer. According to the provision of the protocol and the actual demand, we finished the realization of the RLC subsystem software, which is the most important part of the object.The article analyzed the design of TD-SCDMA Femtocell Layer2and finished the realization and function tests of RLC subsystem. Including the identifying of requirements of RLC subsystem, the functions developing from the three RLC modules, the designing of the data structs, and so on. Meanwhile, we give up some of the functions(like the encipherment and the decipherment) for balancing the difficulty of realization and the actual requirements. After testing, the software satisfied all the actual requirements, and realized all the functions during the uniting and adjustments afterwards.
